On-device storage
Settings such as your selected train number are saved in your browser’s local storage to make your next visit convenient. This data is not sent to any server, and you can clear it anytime in your browser.
Weather display
To indicate whether Mt. Fuji may be visible, current weather near Fuji City is fetched from Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com). Only a fixed location (near Fuji City) is sent; no personal data or your location is sent. No cookies are used for this request.
Usage counts (first-party)
To learn which trains are actually being looked up, this site sends the train number, train type, direction of travel and display language to its own server at the moment a result is shown — or, if you enter a departure time by hand, the direction, train type, reference station and the time you entered. These values are counted per day. When the page is opened, the display language alone is sent in the same way and counted as the number of times the tool was opened, so that we can tell what share of visitors actually use it. Nothing else is sent, and no cookies or identifiers are used. IP addresses and device information, which necessarily reach the server in transit, are neither stored nor used, and no browsing history is built. As a result the data cannot identify you or link one visit to another. It is used only to improve the site, such as deciding which trains to cover and when the timetable data needs updating.
Analytics and advertising
This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how it is being used. It does not use cookies or local storage, and it does not track visitors as individuals. This analytics service collects only aggregate information: the pages viewed, the referring site, country, browser, operating system and device type. (The first-party counts described in the previous section are separate.) No advertising is shown at present. If third-party advertising (such as Google AdSense) is introduced in future, it may use cookies, so visitors from the EEA, the UK and similar regions will be asked for consent and this policy will be updated.
